
Saudi Founding Day reception in Singapore highlights Vision 2030 and growing bilateral ties
The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Singapore commemorated Saudi Founding Day with a reception attended by government representatives, members of the diplomatic corps, community leaders, and the Saudi community in Singapore. The event highlighted the historical foundations of the Saudi state and reaffirmed the Kingdom’s development trajectory under Vision 2030.

The reception formed part of the Embassy’s annual observance of Saudi Founding Day, marking the establishment of the first Saudi state nearly three centuries ago. The occasion brought together ministers, officials, and representatives from various sectors, reflecting continued engagement between Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
In his remarks, H.E. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Singapore, welcomed guests and conveyed appreciation for their presence, noting that the occasion served as a reminder of the Kingdom’s historical roots and its long-standing commitment to unity and service to the community. He stated that Founding Day represents not only a reflection on history but also a focus on the future.
Referring to Saudi Vision 2030, Ambassador highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to diversify the economy, create employment opportunities, support innovation, and expand economic participation while maintaining cultural identity and national values. He noted that Saudi Arabia continues to advance reforms aimed at sustainable growth and global engagement.

The remarks also acknowledged Singapore’s reputation for long-term planning, strong institutions, and social harmony within a multicultural society. “Saudi Arabia and Singapore share a strong and steady growing relationship. We believe that we can achieve more together.” Ambassador noted. He observed that these values are respected and admired, and that Saudi Arabia and Singapore share a steadily growing bilateral relationship with scope for further cooperation.



The presence of ministers, officials, members of the diplomatic community, and representatives of the Saudi community was recognised as a reflection of the strong ties between the two countries. The event underscored shared interests in economic collaboration, institutional cooperation, and people-to-people engagement.
The reception concluded with an expression of confidence in continued collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Singapore, as both countries seek to deepen bilateral ties and explore new avenues of cooperation in the years ahead.
