MARKET BRIEFING AND NETWORKING SESSION BOOST EXPORT READINESS AND REGIONAL EXPANSION
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through its Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Singapore, organised a market briefing and networking session for a delegation of Philippine food exporters in preparation for their participation in Food & Hospitality Asia 2026 (FHA 2026), taking place from 21 to 24 April 2026 at the Singapore Expo.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts by the Philippine Embassy in Singapore to strengthen exporters’ competitiveness and expand their footprint in regional markets. Philippine Ambassador to Singapore His Excellency Mr Medardo Antonio Gonzales Macaraig welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the Embassy’s support for Philippine enterprises. He highlighted Singapore’s importance as a key export destination and a strategic gateway to the wider ASEAN region.

The briefing featured industry experts who shared practical insights into navigating Singapore’s dynamic food and retail landscape. Speakers included Grace Chua, Chief Executive Officer of Own Brands and Food Solutions Business (OBFS) and Chief Sustainability Officer at FairPrice Group; Muthu Murugaiyan, Founder of Orient Pearl Goods & Services; and Eva Loong, Executive Director of Ascentium Global Services. Discussions covered buyer requirements, private label opportunities, import regulations, and market entry strategies, with particular emphasis on halal-ready and export-certified products.

A networking session followed, providing Philippine exporters with the opportunity to engage directly with industry stakeholders, exchange insights, and explore potential business collaborations within Singapore’s food and retail ecosystem.
The delegation is set to showcase a wide range of Philippine food products at the Philippine Pavilion during FHA 2026, located at Hall 6, Booth No. 6D2-07. Participating companies include Bahaghari Global Food Inc., Cattleya & Rose Gourmet Foods Trading (Sagana), Cocoplus Aquarian Development Corporation, Fruits of Life, Inc., Global Foodsolutions, Inc., Jamla Corporation, KKK Food Corporation, Pasciolco Agri Ventures, Tongsan Industrial Development Corporation, Wellnesscare Int’l Corp., Pili Crush, and Verra Coffee.
Now in its 48th edition, FHA 2026 is expected to host more than 2,750 exhibitors from over 115 countries across 10 exhibition halls, reinforcing its position as one of Asia’s leading international food and hospitality trade events.
