Singapore’s nationwide sustainability movement returns from May to June 2026, supporting the Year of Climate Adaptation.
The Go Green SG movement is returning for its fourth edition from 11 May to 28 June 2026 in Singapore. Led by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, the initiative brings together about 500 partners from the People, Private and Public sectors to organise more than 1,000 activities across the country.
This year’s campaign supports Singapore’s Year of Climate Adaptation, a national effort to address the growing impacts of climate change such as rising temperatures and heavier rainfall. The initiative aims to encourage citizens, businesses, and communities to take collective action toward a more sustainable and climate-resilient future.
Participants can take part in a wide range of activities, including educational workshops, guided tours, and community events. The Sentosa Development Corporation and the National Environment Agency will host guided tours at Sentosa, where visitors can learn about biodiversity, conservation efforts, and cooling solutions like microforests.
Other programmes include behind-the-scenes tours of recycling facilities by Cloop, and research-focused sessions at the Earth Observatory of Singapore, where participants can explore climate science and solutions such as managing rising sea levels.
Youth engagement is also a key focus. Events like the Sustainability Youth Festival by EB Impact and community-led initiatives such as eco-carnivals and workshops aim to involve younger generations in climate discussions and solutions.
Collaborations between organisations are expected to increase outreach and impact. For example, Suntory Beverage & Food Asia is working with Semula to run workshops on plastic recycling. Meanwhile, students from River Valley High School are partnering with youth groups to organise eco-friendly bazaars promoting sustainable consumption.
Other highlights include learning journeys organised with A*STAR on waste-to-energy processes, and film screenings with interactive workshops hosted by Temasek Shophouse to explore climate-related challenges.
The event also features lifestyle-focused activities. Festivals like Earthopia Fest by City Sprouts will offer workshops and discussions for young people, while the Singapore Fashion Council will host sessions on sustainable fashion practices. Food-related activities, including urban gardening and eco-conscious dining experiences, will also be available.
The public can find more information online from 4 May 2026 and register for activities starting 8 May 2026. Organisers hope the initiative will inspire more Singaporeans to take action and contribute to a greener future.
