
The event brought together more than 1,000 workers and highlighted support for the Thai community in Singapore
Mrs. Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy Singapore, presided over the opening ceremony of the 2026 Thai Labour Day celebration in Singapore. The event was jointly organised by the Royal Thai Embassy, the Labour Office in Singapore, and the Assurance Care and Engagement Group under Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower.

The gathering brought together more than 1,000 Thai and foreign workers and formed part of ongoing community outreach and welfare initiatives for workers residing in Singapore. The event included social activities, informational programmes, and engagement sessions aimed at supporting workers’ well-being and quality of life.

During the opening ceremony, Mrs. Chonlatee Chanrachakul expressed appreciation to Thai and Singaporean public and private sector agencies, as well as members of the Thai community, for their cooperation in organising the event. She stated that the gathering provided an opportunity for Thai workers to meet and interact while also receiving useful information and guidance related to employment and daily life in Singapore.
The event concluded with continued encouragement for cooperation among government agencies, community organisations, and workers to support the welfare and engagement of the Thai community in Singapore.
