The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, in collaboration with Golden Village Pictures, hosted the gala premiere of the Thai film “Gohan” (โกฮัง..หัวใจโกโฮม) at GV Suntec City on 8 May 2026. The event brought together members of the diplomatic community, cultural partners and guests to celebrate Thai cinema and cultural exchange through film.

The premiere formed part of the embassy’s broader cultural diplomacy initiatives aimed at promoting Thai creative industries and strengthening people-to-people ties between Thailand and Singapore. More than 250 invited guests attended the screening, including distinguished representatives, partners and friends of Thailand.

During the event, Mrs. Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, described the film as reflecting the vibrant cultural connections between Thailand and Singapore. She noted that “Gohan” presented a universal story of love, companionship and human connection that resonated across cultures and borders, including Thailand, Myanmar and Japan.

The embassy highlighted the premiere as part of ongoing efforts to advance Thai Soft Power internationally through high-quality creative content and cinematic storytelling. Produced by GDH, the film was presented as an example of Thailand’s growing presence in the regional and global entertainment landscape.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore also expressed appreciation to Golden Village Pictures for its collaboration in organising the event and supporting the promotion of Thai films in Singapore. “Gohan” is scheduled to begin screening at GV cinemas across Singapore from 21 May 2026 onwards.
