Infrastructure Asia and the Philippines’ PPP Center renewed their partnership to support project development and capacity building
SINGAPORE, 16 June 2026 — Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig witnessed the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Singapore’s Infrastructure Asia (InfraAsia) and the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center of the Philippines during the opening of the Asia Infrastructure Forum (AIF) 2026. The renewed agreement reaffirmed both sides’ commitment to advancing infrastructure development in the Philippines through continued collaboration on project development, policy formulation and capacity building.

The MoU exchange ceremony was among the highlights of the two-day Asia Infrastructure Forum, held from 16 to 17 June at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organised under the theme “Bold Actions for a Sustainable Asia”, the forum brought together infrastructure leaders, investors and policymakers to discuss sustainable financing, technological innovation and regional cooperation aimed at supporting resilient and inclusive growth.

The renewed agreement underscored ongoing cooperation between Infrastructure Asia and the PPP Center of the Philippines in areas including capacity building, policy formulation, project development and market-sounding activities for priority infrastructure projects. Since the establishment of their partnership in 2019, Infrastructure Asia has supported the PPP Center by sharing international expertise and best practices to strengthen the Philippines’ infrastructure ecosystem.
The collaboration has contributed to the development of a pipeline of projects across multiple sectors, including transport, healthcare, water supply, waste management, renewable energy and green buildings. The PPP Center, which serves as the Philippines’ central agency for coordinating and monitoring the country’s Public-Private Partnership Programme, has played a key role in facilitating infrastructure projects nationwide.
The Asia Infrastructure Forum is co-organised by Infrastructure Asia, Singapore’s Ministry of Finance, Enterprise Singapore and the Monetary Authority of Singapore, with the World Bank Group serving as strategic partner. Through platforms such as AIF, stakeholders seek to strengthen cross-border partnerships and promote sustainable infrastructure solutions across the region.
