
The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore and Team Thailand’s economic representatives met with the Singapore Manufacturing Federation to strengthen bilateral economic ties and accelerate industry collaboration through business partnerships and investment initiatives.
The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, led by Ambassador-Designate H.E. Waraphannee Damrongmanee, together with Team Thailand’s economic representatives, welcomed Mr. Lennon Tan, President of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), and members of the federation’s senior executive council for a high-level discussion on 7 July 2026. The meeting underscored the shared commitment of Thailand and Singapore to enhancing economic cooperation and expanding opportunities for businesses in both countries.

Joining the Ambassador-Designate were Mrs. Natama Koonpol, Director of the Thai Trade Center, Ms. Yatika Kaewborisoot, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Singapore Office, and Mr. Chawissrut Piyawattayakorn, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Krungthai Bank Public Company Limited, Singapore Branch. The meeting brought together key representatives from Team Thailand and Singapore’s manufacturing sector to explore avenues for closer commercial engagement.

A key focus of the discussion was advancing economic and investment cooperation by building on the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and the Singapore Manufacturing Federation. Both sides exchanged views on translating the agreement into practical outcomes that would support stronger industrial collaboration, trade, and business development between the two countries.

The Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand reaffirmed their readiness to serve as facilitators in connecting businesses from both nations. Through business matching initiatives and strengthened institutional collaboration, they aim to help Singaporean companies identify reliable and high-potential partners in Thailand while encouraging greater cross-border investment and commercial partnerships.

The meeting reflects the growing momentum in Thailand–Singapore economic relations, with both sides committed to fostering deeper engagement between their private sectors. By leveraging established industry networks and institutional cooperation, Thailand and Singapore continue to create new opportunities for sustainable business growth and regional economic integration.
