Kazakhstan delivered an outstanding performance at the 12th Asian Age Group Aquatics Championships, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 16 to 25 July 2026, finishing at the top of the artistic swimming team standings. Represented by 111 athletes across multiple aquatic disciplines, the country concluded the continental competition with a remarkable haul of 48 medals, highlighting its continued rise as a regional aquatic powerhouse.
The artistic swimming team spearheaded Kazakhstan’s success, collecting 25 medals comprising 14 gold, seven silver and four bronze. Their consistent excellence throughout the championships earned them the artistic swimming team trophy on the final day of competition, cementing Kazakhstan’s dominance in the discipline at the Asian age-group level.
Kazakhstan also impressed in the swimming events, where its athletes secured 16 medals, including six gold, seven silver and three bronze. The national diving team further strengthened the country’s medal tally by winning six medals, consisting of one gold, three silver and two bronze, demonstrating depth across the aquatic programme.
In water polo, Kazakhstan’s under-19 men’s team produced a commendable performance to finish as runners-up in the Asian competition, earning the silver medal.
