Singapore to Celebrate 61st National Day with National Day Parade 2026 at the National Stadium
Singapore will commemorate its 61st year of independence through the National Day Parade (NDP) 2026 at the National Stadium under the theme “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!”. The celebrations will honour Singapore’s journey while encouraging Singaporeans to continue striving for progress, resilience and unity as the nation enters a new decade of independence.
The theme combines Singapore’s enduring aspiration to move forward with a call for individuals and communities to support one another and contribute towards the nation’s future. The official logo features a stylised “61”, with the numeral “1” forming a forward-pointing arrow symbolising progress, while the five stars represent Singapore’s ideals of democracy, peace, progress, justice and equality.
This year’s celebrations will introduce several firsts, including the inaugural Go Beyond: NDP 2026 Album, featuring original songs such as Giants, Sparkle and You’ll Be Okay, alongside “Heartbeats”, the first microdrama series produced for National Day. The show will feature more than 2,600 performers, combining storytelling, music and technology to showcase Singapore’s diverse communities and shared identity.
Organised around six chapters, the performance will highlight themes of resilience, inclusivity, heritage and innovation. Audiences can also expect new elements including NDP’s first indoor drone show, large-scale projection mapping, immersive lighting effects and refreshed parade formats that will bring the celebrations beyond the National Stadium into the wider Kallang precinct.
The Parade and Ceremony segment will feature 32 contingents representing Singapore’s armed forces, home front agencies, youth organisations, businesses and community groups, reflecting all six pillars of Total Defence. The programme will also include traditional highlights such as the Presidential Gun Salute, State Flag Flypast and the Majulah Moment, which will commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Singapore Pledge.
As Singapore prepares to celebrate its National Day, NDP 2026 will bring together people from all walks of life to recognise the nation’s achievements while inspiring Singaporeans to continue moving forward together under the theme “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!”.
