
The Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS) met with Malaysia’s High Commissioner to Singapore to discuss its 2026 initiatives and strengthen cooperation in trade and tourism promotion
The Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS) paid a courtesy call on the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, Her Excellency Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin. The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen engagement and discuss STATOS’ ongoing efforts to promote Sarawak’s trade, investment, and tourism interests in Singapore.
The courtesy call formed part of STATOS’ institutional outreach with Malaysian diplomatic representatives in Singapore. The meeting served as a platform to exchange updates on the organisation’s strategic priorities and initiatives aimed at enhancing Sarawak’s presence and fostering closer economic and tourism cooperation.
During the meeting, STATOS Chief Executive Officer Mr. Chew Chang Guan presented an overview of the organisation’s background, mandate, and role in facilitating trade and tourism between Sarawak and Singapore. He also highlighted STATOS’ key activities and initiatives planned for 2026, outlining programmes designed to strengthen business engagement, investment promotion, and tourism development.
The discussions reaffirmed the importance of collaboration between STATOS and the High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore in supporting Sarawak’s economic and tourism objectives. Both sides exchanged views on opportunities to further enhance partnerships and promote greater awareness of Sarawak’s offerings among stakeholders in Singapore.
