
The Timor-Leste student delegation earned five Gold Medals, five Silver Medals, and five Youth Ambassadors Awards at the ASEAN Student Leadership Conference (ASLC) 2026 held in Singapore.
The Ministry of Education announced the results during a press conference in Dili, where the Secretary of State for Secondary-General Education and Technical-Vocational Education, Mr. Domingos Lopes Lemos, Lic. Ed., MM, was joined by senior officials from the Ministry.
In his remarks, Mr Lopes Lemos said the students’ achievements demonstrated the intellectual ability, creativity, and leadership of Timorese youth. He added that the delegation’s performance showed Timor-Leste’s students were capable of competing alongside their peers from other ASEAN countries.

The delegation’s participation was supported by the students’ families, school administrations, the Salesian Congregation of Timor-Leste, the National Bank of Commerce of Timor-Leste (BNCTL), and the Timor-Leste National Commission for UNESCO (KNTLU) through the Ministry of Education.
The five students who received both Gold Medals and the Youth Ambassadors Award were Leticia Greydis Cista Valente, Donzella Morella Ana Maria da Costa, Yohana Deltisia Soares, Ester Gamboa de Oliveira, and Felia Nisa da Costa Bonito. Silver Medals were awarded to Angel Grace Costa de La Rosa, Florbella Ezania Osório da Silva, Zigler Sangita Etelvina Soares Bento, Graciana Ornai Neto, and Devora Zuesy Freitas Ximenes.
