“On behalf of the High Commission of Pakistan in Singapore and the people of Pakistan, I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Government and the people of the Republic of Singapore on the joyous occasion of its 61st National Day.
Singapore’s remarkable transformation over the past 61 years stands as a testament to visionary leadership, resilience, innovation, and the unwavering dedication of its people. Today, Singapore is a vibrant global hub, admired for its economic dynamism, entrepreneurial spirit, multicultural harmony, and forward-looking outlook.
This year also marks a significant milestone in Pakistan–Singapore relations as our two countries celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties. To commemorate this special occasion, the High Commission has organized a series of cultural and sporting events this year, including Qawwali Festival in collaboration with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, friendly cricket match, Mango Festival, and special screenings of acclaimed Pakistani films. Such events showcase Pakistan’s rich and diverse culture in Singapore and further strengthen people-to-people connections between our two nations.
Over the past six decades, Pakistan and Singapore have built a strong and enduring partnership founded on mutual respect, friendship, and shared aspirations for peace, prosperity, and sustainable development. Pakistan remains committed to further strengthening this valuable relationship, both bilaterally and through ASEAN, by expanding cooperation in trade, investment, innovation, education, culture, etc over the coming years.
As Singapore celebrates this important national milestone, I convey my sincere wishes for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the Republic of Singapore and its people.
