Congratulatory message from H.E. Tadeusz Chomicki, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Singapore, on the occasion of Singapore’s 61st National Day

“On the joyous occasion of the 61 st anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Singapore, I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Government and to the people of Singapore. Your country’s remarkable journey over the past six decades stands as an inspiring testament to the visionary leadership, resilience, and unwavering
commitment to innovation, excellence and openness.

This occasion provides an opportunity to celebrate the friendship between Poland and Singapore. Our bilateral relations continue to grow stronger by the year, founded on mutual trust, shared respect for international cooperation and a common commitment to trade and sustainable development. Last year’s state visit of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda to Singapore marked an important milestone in our partnership. It reaffirmed our shared ambition to deepen political dialogue, strengthen economic cooperation and expand business and institutional links. Minister-coordinator K Shanmugam’s visit to Poland this year, served to further advance that cooperation, not least in areas such as cybersecurity and the fight against international organised crime.

Building on the solid foundations of the EU–Singapore Free Trade Agreement and the EU–Singapore Digital Trade Agreement, Poland and Singapore are expanding cooperation in trade, investment and technological innovation. Singaporean investments in Poland, including PSA’s flagship investment in the Baltic Hub, and the activity of Polish companies in Singapore reflect this positive momentum. The presence of Deputy Minister Małgorzata Gromadzka at Food & Hospitality Asia 2026, underlined Poland’s potential as a trusted supplier of high-quality food products.

As we celebrate Singapore’s National Day, I am confident that our friendship will continue to flourish, bringing tangible benefits to our societies and contributing to greater prosperity and security in an increasingly polarised world.

Happy 61 st National Day, Singapore!”
