
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated the Malaysian contingent for its fighting spirit and strong showing at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Malaysia concluded the Games with eight gold, three silver and five bronze medals, finishing 10th overall.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated the entire Malaysian contingent for its commendable performance at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, praising the athletes for demonstrating an extraordinary fighting spirit and bringing pride to the nation.
In a Facebook post, the Prime Minister extended his highest congratulations to the Malaysian contingent for its achievements throughout the Games. He described the team’s performance as a proud moment for Malaysia and commended the determination displayed by the national athletes.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also expressed his appreciation to the coaches, officers and support teams whose efforts contributed to the contingent’s success. He further thanked Malaysians who continued to pray for and support the national team throughout the competition.
“Alhamdulillah, the highest congratulations to the entire Malaysian contingent for their extraordinary fighting spirit and proud performance displayed at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games,” the Prime Minister said, while congratulating the athletes and everyone involved in supporting the national campaign.

Malaysia concluded its 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games campaign with 16 medals, comprising eight gold, three silver and five bronze. The achievement placed Malaysia 10th overall, underlining the country’s strong showing and continued competitiveness on the Commonwealth sporting stage.
