Australian High Commissioner to Singapore H.E. Robyn Mudie met senior representatives from Sembcorp Industries and Alinta Energy to discuss Sembcorp’s recent acquisition of the Australian energy company.
The acquisition combined Sembcorp’s global energy capabilities with Alinta Energy’s expertise and pipeline of renewable and firming projects in Australia. The Australian High Commission highlighted energy security and energy transition as important areas of cooperation between Australia and Singapore.
H.E. Mudie met Sembcorp Industries Group Chief Executive Officer Wong Kim Yin; President & CEO, Renewables East, Alex Tan; Chief Legal Officer Lynette Lim; and Alinta Energy Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, Sustainability & Governance, Sarah McNamara. The High Commission also acknowledged Austrade’s continued work supporting energy and investment links between Australia and Singapore.
