A reception at Eden Hall welcomed newly arrived teachers from British schools in Singapore, offering an evening of networking and shared experiences.
More than 100 newly arrived British teachers in Singapore attended a reception hosted by UK in Singapore at Eden Hall. The gathering welcomed the educators to the country while helping them establish a support network and meet others with similar experiences.
Seven schools joined the evening: Brighton College Singapore, Dover Court International School, Dulwich College Singapore, North London Collegiate School Singapore, Tanglin Trust School, The Perse School Singapore and Westbourne College Singapore. Members of the Singapore St Andrew’s Society and St David’s Welsh Society of Singapore also attended the reception.
UK in Singapore highlighted the gathering as a celebration of the strength of UK education and an opportunity for the newly arrived teachers to make connections within Singapore. The evening also featured a familiar British favourite, with fish and chips served to guests.
