Singapore Parliament Speaker Seah Kian Peng and a parliamentary delegation were welcomed at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China following a successful visit to China in June. The visit further strengthened legislative exchanges, cooperation and mutual understanding between China and Singapore.
Mr Seah Kian Peng, Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore, and a parliamentary delegation were welcomed at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China. The delegation’s visit followed Mr Seah’s successful parliamentary visit to China in June, where he engaged with senior Chinese leaders and visited several key cities.
During the June visit, Mr Seah met with Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, and Han Zheng, Vice President of China. The delegation also visited Fuzhou, Xiamen and Beijing, gaining further opportunities to engage with China and deepen their understanding of the country.
The visit underscored the longstanding and growing exchanges between the legislative bodies of China and Singapore. Through dialogue and high-level parliamentary engagement, both sides continue to strengthen cooperation and promote greater mutual understanding.
The latest engagement at the Chinese Embassy further reflected the close ties between the two countries and their commitment to maintaining regular exchanges. Such interactions contribute to strengthening friendship and cooperation between China and Singapore, including at the parliamentary level.
