On 16 September 2026, Mrs. Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. at the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, welcomed five Under-16 youth footballers from Triam Udom Suksa Nomklao Saraburi School. The young athletes were accompanied by their coach, guardians and representatives from the Thai Association (Singapore) during their visit to the Embassy in Singapore, held in connection with their participation in a regional training and competition programme with Woodlands Warriors FC.

The five footballers were taking part in the programme in Indonesia and Singapore for more than one month, providing them with an opportunity to participate in international athletic development activities.

During the visit, Mrs. Chonlatee congratulated and commended the young athletes on their selection for the international programme. She highlighted the importance of the opportunity for the players, their families and Triam Udom Suksa Nomklao Saraburi School.

The Chargé d’Affaires also noted the role of youth participation in sports diplomacy and in presenting the capabilities of Thai young athletes internationally. She encouraged the footballers to make full use of their experience during the programme and to continue developing qualities relevant to their sporting careers.

In her remarks, Mrs. Chonlatee emphasised the importance of sportsmanship and discipline, encouraging the young athletes to use the experience to establish a strong foundation for their future careers as professional footballers.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the youth players, their accompanying coach and guardians, and representatives of the Thai Association (Singapore) to engage with the Royal Thai Embassy during their time in Singapore.

The programme with Woodlands Warriors FC involved both training and competition activities in Indonesia and Singapore over a period of more than one month. The participation of the five Under-16 players from Triam Udom Suksa Nomklao Saraburi School was recognised by the Embassy as an opportunity for the young athletes to gain international sporting experience while developing sportsmanship and discipline.
