Ambassador welcomes U12 tennis teams after World Tennis Asia competition in Singapore
On 21 September 2026, H.E. Waraphannee Damrongmanee, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, welcomed Thailand’s national Under-12 youth tennis delegation at the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore. The delegation comprised the boys’ and girls’ teams, coaching staff and guardians, who paid a courtesy call following the conclusion of the World Tennis Asia 12&Under Team Competition Finals 2026 in Singapore.
During the reception, the Ambassador congratulated the young athletes for their dedication and sportsmanship in representing Thailand at the international competition. She commended their conduct and highlighted the role of such sporting engagements in supporting sports diplomacy.
H.E. Waraphannee also encouraged the players to continue developing their tennis skills through disciplined training and participation in international tournaments. She advised the young athletes to gain further competitive experience as they work towards their future aspirations of becoming professional athletes and representing Thailand on the international stage.
The reception also provided an opportunity for the delegation to express its appreciation to the Royal Thai Embassy for the warm welcome and support extended during the team’s stay in Singapore.
Sergeant Major First Class Sahathat Supakit, captain of the boys’ team, and Mr. Ittipol Srisen, captain of the girls’ team, conveyed their appreciation on behalf of the athletes, coaches and parents. They thanked the Ambassador and the Embassy for the reception, as well as the care and support provided to the delegation throughout the competition.
The team representatives said the encouragement and hospitality from the Royal Thai Embassy had left a deep impression on the delegation. They also expressed that the experience would provide further inspiration for the young players as they continue their training and pursue excellence in tennis.
The World Tennis Asia 12&Under Team Competition Finals 2026 provided the Thailand U12 boys’ and girls’ teams with international tournament experience in Singapore, followed by an official courtesy call at the Royal Thai Embassy.
