The UAE Singapore Business Council (UAESBC) launched its Women in Business (WIB) Sub-committee on 4 September 2026, creating a new platform for women business leaders and professionals from the UAE and Singapore.

The launch was attended by H.E. Dr. Abdulnasser Alshaali, UAE Ambassador to Singapore and UAESBC Patron, and H.E. Ayesha Mohammed Almulla, Chairwoman of the Emirates Businesswomen Council and Chair of the WIB Advisory Group. Mr. Dino Civitarese, President of UAESBC, welcomed the attendees, while Ms. Juliana Mattar, CEO of Motion: For Impact, Chairperson of WIB and member of the UAESBC Executive Committee, hosted the event.

The discussion focused on shared business values between the UAE and Singapore, including resilience, trust-based relationships and market entry. Speakers noted the importance of long-term relationships in the UAE and highlighted Singapore’s strong governance standards and the track record of Singapore professionals in the UAE as factors supporting trust between both business communities.

The sharing session was moderated by Dr. Brian Shegar, UAESBC Emeritus Chairman and Senior Advisor. Participated as the panellists are H.E. Ayesha Mohammed Saeed Almulla, Ms. Grace Chia, Deputy Executive Chairman of Rotary Engineering Pte Ltd, Ms. Rowena Rawte, Chief Sustainability Officer of Beecon/HY Consultancy Service Pte Ltd, and Ms. Roxie Wang, Head of International Business Advisory for Southeast Asia at ALTIOS International. The Women in Business Sub-committee aims to support bilateral business opportunities, knowledge-sharing and the next generation of women leaders in UAE-Singapore business relations.
