Opened to worshippers and visitors in 2024, Masjid Jamek Cina Muslim has emerged as a distinctive religious and cultural attraction in Klang, Selangor. Inspired by the historic Great Mosque of Xi’an in China, the mosque reflects the longstanding connections between Chinese architectural traditions and Islamic heritage.

Built on a 1.2-hectare site, the mosque features a distinctive three-tier pagoda-style minaret and arched roof, incorporating elements of traditional Chinese architecture. Its prayer hall is decorated with traditional Chinese tiles and intricate wood carvings, creating a setting that reflects the cultural diversity and harmony of Malaysia.

The mosque can accommodate up to 1,000 worshippers and serves not only as a place of prayer, but also as a space where local and international visitors can learn more about Islam, Chinese Muslim heritage and the architectural traditions represented within the complex.

Beyond its main prayer facilities, Masjid Jamek Cina Muslim includes several attractions for visitors. These include a cultural centre, a library and a Chinese-inspired garden featuring a tranquil koi pond. Together, these spaces provide opportunities to explore the cultural and educational aspects of the mosque in a peaceful environment.

Visitors can also experience halal Chinese cuisine at the cafeteria within the mosque compound. The menu includes popular dishes such as hand-pulled noodles, bao and dim sum, offering an opportunity to experience Chinese culinary traditions within an Islamic setting.

The mosque welcomes visitors of all faiths, with admission free of charge. It is open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Non-Muslim visitors may enter during designated visiting sessions between prayer times, while modest attire is required as a sign of respect for the religious setting.
