In the course of his visit to China ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn met with Tang Renjian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs for discussion on agricultural cooperation. One of the topics was the designation of 2023 as the ASEAN-China Year of Agricultural Development and Food Security Cooperation. Both sides expressed their enthusiasm for this initiative and discussed ways to achieve its objectives.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on the challen3ges and opportunities facing the agricultural sector in both regions. They also expressed their commitment to strengthening their cooperation in this area to achieve a more sustainable and secure food system for all.
