The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and Indian Air Force (IAF) completed their 12th joint training exercise in Kalaikunda, enhancing defence cooperation
Singapore, 13 December 2024 – The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) concluded its participation in the 12th edition of the Joint Military Training exercise with the Indian Air Force (IAF). Held at Kalaikunda Air Force Station, India, from 21 October to 6 December 2024, the exercise included a bilateral phase conducted between 13 and 22 November 2024.
Since its establishment in 2008, the joint training programme has aimed to enhance defence cooperation and foster strong ties between the two air forces. The exercise provided an opportunity for aircrew and ground crew to refine their operational skills and conduct high-end joint training sessions, reinforcing military relations.
This year, the RSAF participated with eight F-15SG and eight F-16 fighter aircraft, a G550 Airborne Early Warning aircraft, and over 300 personnel. They trained alongside the IAF’s Rafale and Su-30 MKI aircraft, engaging in a series of challenging operational scenarios designed to promote collaboration and readiness.
The long-standing partnership between the RSAF and IAF underscores the mutual commitment of Singapore and India to regional security and defence cooperation, strengthening their strategic relations through consistent engagement and training exercises.
