Prime Minister launches second tranche of $300 CDC Vouchers to help households manage living costs as part of ongoing support measures
On 3 January 2025, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong officiated the launch of the CDC Vouchers Scheme 2025 this morning, marking one of the first events of the year to coincide with Singapore’s SG60 celebrations. The scheme, which provides additional financial support to Singaporean households, aims to address cost-of-living concerns and strengthen community well-being.
Prime Minister Wong announced the distribution of $300 worth of CDC Vouchers as part of the second tranche, complementing the $300 distributed in June 2024. The initiative is part of the government’s broader Assurance Package designed to help Singaporeans manage daily expenses. Prime Minister Wong highlighted the continued need for such measures, citing global inflationary pressures, geopolitical events, and supply chain disruptions that have impacted costs.
Accompanying Prime Minister Wong at the launch were grassroots leaders from East Coast and Marine Parade, including Minister Tan See Leng. The event underscored the collaboration between government bodies, community groups, and businesses in implementing and expanding the CDC Vouchers initiative.
Households can claim the vouchers digitally through the official website (go.gov.sg/cdcv) using SingPass, with assistance available at Community Centres for those who need support. The vouchers can be used at heartland merchants, hawkers, supermarkets, and participating coffee shop operators, providing flexibility and value for families.
Prime Minister Wong expressed gratitude to community partners and the private sector for their role in ensuring the scheme’s success and encouraged Singaporeans to utilize the vouchers thoughtfully.
