
The Two Leaders Sign Multiple Agreements to Enhance Bilateral Cooperation
Bogor, 12 February 2025 – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan convened at the Bogor Presidential Palace in West Java for the inaugural High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council summit. This meeting marked a significant milestone in Indonesia-Türkiye relations, resulting in the signing of numerous agreements aimed at bolstering collaboration across various sectors.
The leaders endorsed agreements encompassing trade, energy, higher education, and religious affairs. Notably, a deal was finalized to manufacture drones in Indonesia, reflecting a deepening defense industry partnership.
Both President Prabowo and President Erdoğan emphasized the importance of elevating economic cooperation, with a shared objective to increase bilateral trade to $10 billion annually. They also discussed joint efforts in the reconstruction of Gaza, reaffirming their dedication to humanitarian initiatives.
This summit underscores the strengthening partnership between Indonesia and Türkiye, highlighting a mutual commitment to strategic collaboration and regional stability.
