Andhra Pradesh, India — The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has appointed Surbana Jurong Group India, in collaboration with Knight Frank India, as Programme Management Consultants to oversee the development of Amaravati, the state’s ambitious new capital city.

The agreement, signed on 28 February 2025, marks a crucial step in Andhra Pradesh’s vision to build a sustainable and future-ready capital under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The appointment of these global firms is expected to accelerate the transformation of Amaravati into a benchmark for urban development.

Surbana Jurong, a Singapore-based urban and infrastructure consultancy, has been involved in the planning of Amaravati since 2015. Now, in partnership with Knight Frank, it will play a critical role in implementing the project, ensuring state-of-the-art infrastructure, green mobility solutions, and smart city technologies.
