Visitors are invited to explore the Istana grounds and enjoy family-friendly performances and activities on 3 August 2025.

SINGAPORE — Singaporeans are invited to celebrate the nation’s 60th year of independence at the upcoming Istana Open House (IOH), which will take place on Sunday, 3 August 2025, from 8.30am to 6.00pm. The event will be held at the Istana and promises a day of vibrant performances, interactive activities and heritage tours.

This year’s IOH embraces the SG60 theme, “Building Our Singapore Together”, and features activities suitable for all ages. Highlights include a roving art truck by the National Gallery, and “Twine Together!”, an upcycling collaboration by the National Heritage Board and Uniqlo. Visitors can also try inclusive sports such as boccia, seated volleyball and virtual archery, and share their aspirations for SG60 by creating a community dreamboard. Up to 10,000 National Day goodie bags will be given away.

Live performances will run from 10.00am to 4.30pm, with homegrown artists LAYYI and Sherman Zhuo, Instructors from SportSG will present a performance titled “Dance of the Nation” and cultural performances by Bukit View Primary School, Woodlands Primary School, Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Islamiah and Hwa Chong Institution’s Concert Band.

Visitors can also enjoy self-guided tours of the Istana grounds and Villa, featuring architecture, gardens and a display of State Gifts presented to Singapore’s leaders. Limited guided tours of the Istana Heritage Trail will take place for those who have pre-registered.

Admission is free for Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents and migrant domestic workers accompanying families.Other visitors are required to pay an admission fee of $20 per adult and $10 per child (4 to 12 years old). Additional fees apply for other activities, such as the guided Istana Heritage Tour and visiting the Istana Villa. 

Food stalls, souvenir booths and cashless payment options will be available throughout the day. Entry is via the Main Gate on Orchard Road.
