The IFBA 2025 in Saudi Arabia attracts wide international interest, highlighting falconry as both a cultural tradition and a growing investment sector.
The International Falcon Breeders Auction (IFBA) 2025, currently underway in Malham, north of Riyadh, has drawn considerable attendance from across the Gulf region and beyond, reflecting the rapid growth of the falconry sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Organised as a comprehensive economic, cultural, and investment platform, the auction has brought together leading falcon breeders and enthusiasts, cementing Saudi Arabia’s role as a regional hub for falconry. The event, which runs until 25 August, offers visitors a professionally curated setting that blends heritage with commercial opportunity.
Featuring participation from both local and international falcon breeding farms, the auction also includes specialised pavilions for falcon care supplies and a “Falconer of the Future” pavilion aimed at youth engagement. Attendees can enjoy a wide range of activities designed to raise awareness of national heritage and promote sustainability in falcon breeding.
British resident Rachel Phillips, attending for the first time, praised the quality and organisation of the event. “Holding a falcon was exceptional. The event really showcases the depth of Saudi culture and the investment potential in this growing sector,” she remarked.
Qatari falconer Mehanna bin Mohammed Al-Dosari, a returning participant, noted improvements in ownership procedures and payment systems, underlining the Saudi Falcons Club’s commitment to enhancing the experience for international stakeholders.
