
Singapore reaffirmed its commitment to expanding bilateral collaboration across key economic and innovation sectors.
Singapore marked a productive start to its engagement in Qatar as part of an official trip aimed at strengthening bilateral ties. Singapore’s representative met several senior Qatari leaders on the first day of the visit, underscoring both countries’ shared interest in expanding cooperation in energy, trade and the digital economy.
During the visit, meetings were held with H.E. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy; H.E. Dr Ahmad Mohamed Al Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs; and H.E. Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of State of Communications and Information Technology. Discussions focused on ongoing collaboration and emerging opportunities in energy security, innovation, and cutting-edge technology research.

The Singapore delegation also made a brief cultural stop at the Museum of Islamic Art, which offered insights into the region’s rich artistic and historical heritage. The visit reflected Singapore’s appreciation for cultural exchange as part of broader diplomatic engagement.
Singapore and Qatar have maintained a strong and steadily developing bilateral relationship, with substantial cooperation in investment, energy, and the digital sector. Both countries noted that global challenges underscore the importance of deepening partnerships to build resilient and future-ready economies.
Singapore reiterated its readiness to work closely with Qatar to advance collaboration in fields such as sustainable energy solutions, advanced technology, and digital transformation. Both sides expressed confidence that the visit would further strengthen the foundation for long-term cooperation.
