
The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Singapore joined dignitaries at the official launch of the Communicable Diseases Agency, a new statutory board established to enhance Singapore’s preparedness against communicable disease threats
His Excellency Mr Salem Al Shammary, chargé d’affaires of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Singapore, attended the official launch of Singapore’s Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) on 12 November 2025. The event, held under the patronage of Singapore’s Prime Minister, His Excellency Mr Lawrence Wong, marked a significant step forward in the nation’s efforts to strengthen its health security framework.

The newly established CDA serves as a dedicated statutory board responsible for safeguarding Singapore’s public health through enhanced coordination, surveillance, and response measures against communicable diseases. Its formation reflects lessons learned from recent global health challenges and underscores Singapore’s commitment to building a resilient healthcare system.
