The event celebrated the Hindi language through dialogue, literary reflection, and creative expression
A special cultural programme was organised on the occasion of World Hindi Day by the High Commission of India in Singapore, in cooperation with the Vishwa Sahitya Service Institute–Singapore. The event brought together members of the community to recognise the significance of Hindi as a language of communication, culture, and heritage.
During the programme, participants engaged in meaningful discussions on the development of the Hindi language, highlighting its power of expression and its wide-ranging socio-cultural contributions. The sessions reflected on Hindi’s evolving role in contemporary society while preserving its literary traditions.
The celebration was further enriched by the active involvement of Hindi lovers, who made the programme lively through poetry recitations, story readings, and various creative presentations, showcasing the language’s expressive depth and cultural vibrancy.
