Singapore, 11 January 2026 — The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore (KBRI Singapura), in collaboration with the Indonesian Christian Community in Singapore (Masyarakat Kristen Indonesia Singapura), organised a Joint Worship Service and Celebration for Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 on Saturday. The event brought together hundreds of Indonesian Christians from diverse backgrounds living in Singapore.

Held under the theme “God Is Present to Save the Family” (Matthew 1:21–24), the celebration was conducted in a solemn yet warm atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of Christmas as a moment to strengthen fellowship, reaffirm values of love, and nurture hope for the year ahead.

In his opening remarks, the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of Indonesia to Singapore, Thomas Ardian Siregar, extended Christmas greetings to all Indonesian Christians in Singapore. He also expressed his appreciation to the organising committee and all parties involved for their dedication in ensuring the smooth and meaningful execution of the event.

Mr Siregar further conveyed his hope that the Christmas celebration would serve as a platform to reinforce shared commitments in building harmonious, loving, and supportive families. He also emphasised the importance of strengthening the role of the Indonesian diaspora in Singapore as an inclusive and harmonious community.
Through the spirit of tolerance, mutual respect, and togetherness across backgrounds, KBRI Singapura reaffirmed its commitment to supporting community activities that promote unity, strengthen interfaith harmony, and project a positive image of Indonesia on the international stage.
