Singapore’s iconic Chingay Parade returns on 27 and 28 February 2026 with a bold new vision, transforming the F1 Pit Building into an immersive arena of movement, colour, and community expression. Centred on the theme “WISH”, this year’s parade reflects the collective hopes and dreams of Singaporeans while introducing a first-ever circular route designed to place audiences at the heart of the spectacle.

Singapore will host one of its largest cultural events when the Chingay Parade 2026 takes place on 27 and 28 February at the F1 Pit Building. Organised by the People’s Association, this year’s parade introduces a first-ever circular parade route and a multi-tier transformable stage, offering audiences a full 360-degree viewing experience.

The theme for Chingay 2026 is “WISH”, which focuses on the hopes, dreams, and shared aspirations of Singaporeans. The new format marks a major step forward for the parade, which began in 1973 and has grown into one of Asia’s largest multicultural celebrations.

Five large floats, each about seven metres long, have been co-created by local artists and more than 5,000 residents from all five districts. The floats combine traditional cultural elements with modern design and community stories.

More than 3,000 performers will take part in the parade. They include youth groups, senior performers, cultural troupes, arts groups, and migrant worker contingents. The performances reflect Singapore’s diverse communities and highlight inclusivity and unity.

The programme will feature Indian classical and folk dances, Malay silat, Chinese drum and lion dance performances, and contemporary choreography by young performers. Illuminated costumes, props, and special effects will add to the visual impact. The new stage design will allow for dynamic movements, aerial segments, and layered performances.

Public interest has been strong, with early ticket sales showing high demand for both nights. In the lead-up to the event, the People’s Association has organised community activities such as float-building workshops, costume design sessions, and district showcases.

Chingay Parade 2026 is expected to be a major cultural highlight, celebrating creativity, community spirit, and shared hopes as Singapore looks ahead to the future.
