The Peranakan Museum will host the Armenian Street Party 2026 on 13 March, featuring cultural activities, art installations, food pop-ups, and live performances celebrating Peranakan traditions.
The Armenian Street Party will return in 2026 with a cultural celebration themed “A Peranakan Gathering.” The event will take place on Friday, 13 March 2026, at the Peranakan Museum, 39 Armenian Street, Singapore.
The event celebrates the diversity and rich cultural heritage of Singapore’s Peranakan communities. Visitors will have the chance to experience traditions, stories, and cultural practices that have been passed down through generations.
One of the highlights is “Threads of Gathering,” a mixed-media street installation by artist Dawn Koh. The installation will be displayed along Armenian Street and reflects the idea of community and shared heritage.
The programme will also include a wide range of activities such as food and beverage pop-ups, craft activities, pop-up game sessions, and live performances. These activities are designed to bring the Peranakan communal spirit to life and allow visitors to explore the culture through food, art, and entertainment.
This year’s edition will also feature a special experience inspired by Mediacorp’s drama series “Aunty Lee’s Deadly Delights,” which is based on the book by Ovidia Yu. The programme will include cooking demonstrations, meet-and-greet sessions with local artists, and themed pop-ups such as a crime and wedding scene that present a modern interpretation of Peranakan culture.
The opening ceremony of Armenian Street Party 2026 will take place from 5pm to 6pm, with registration starting at 4:45pm. The event will begin with opening remarks by Lum Jia Yi, Assistant Director (Audience, Communications, Digital) at the Asian Civilisations Museum, followed by a guided tour of programme highlights and a free exploration of the event activities.
Organisers have invited media members and photographers to attend the opening festivities and experience the cultural programmes firsthand.
