Indian Film Festival 2026 in Singapore showcases diverse Indian cinema and attracts strong audience participation
The High Commission of India in Singapore, in collaboration with the Singapore Film Society, organised the Indian Film Festival 2026 from 23 January to 8 March 2026 at Golden Village Suntec City. The festival featured a curated selection of Indian films showcasing the diversity of the country’s cinematic traditions and languages.
The festival presented a lineup of 21 films across eight Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Manipuri, Gujarati, Odia, Assamese, and Malayalam. The programme highlighted a range of productions, from classic titles and mainstream blockbusters to critically acclaimed regional films, reflecting the breadth of storytelling within India’s film industry.
Film screenings during the festival drew strong audience interest, with more than 4,000 attendees visiting theatres across the festival period. Several screenings reached full capacity, reflecting sustained engagement from audiences in Singapore and the wider film community.
In response to public demand, additional screenings of three films—Boong, 3 Idiots, and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge—were organised on 8 March 2026 at the Festive Arts Theatre Our Tampines Hub.

An additional screening of the film Raazi has been scheduled for 15 March 2026 at Golden Village Suntec City in conjunction with International Women’s Day celebrations. Further screenings of Roja and Soorarai Pottru are planned for 5 April 2026 at Festive Arts Theatre, Our Tampines Hub.
The organisers noted that the festival continues to serve as a platform for cultural exchange and public engagement, strengthening people-to-people ties through the appreciation of cinema.
