Thai Embassy connects students and professionals with industry leaders to support digital economy talent development
The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, in collaboration with Shopee and Garena, hosted the “Thai Tech Talent Networking: Building Future Careers with Shopee and Garena” event at the Embassy’s premises. The event aimed to strengthen professional networks and create career opportunities for Thai students and young professionals residing in Singapore.
The event was presided over by Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., who highlighted the initiative’s role in supporting talent development and enhancing connections between overseas Thai professionals and Thailand’s growing technology sector. The programme formed part of the Embassy’s broader efforts to promote workforce readiness and facilitate knowledge exchange in the digital economy.

Participants were provided with insights into advancements in the technology industry, with a focus on preparing high-potential Thai talents abroad to contribute to Thailand’s digital economy. The programme featured presentations by industry representatives from Shopee and Garena, covering career pathways and professional development opportunities.
A fireside chat session further explored multidimensional career prospects across sectors, including technology and engineering, finance and banking, as well as entrepreneurship and education. The discussions highlighted the importance of cross-sector skills and adaptability in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The Royal Thai Embassy expressed appreciation to its partners, including Sea Group, Shopee, Garena, the Association of Thai Students in Singapore (ATSIS), and the Thai Association in Singapore, for their contributions to the successful organisation of the event.
