Mr Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN, attended the interface meeting between the ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting (AFMGM) and the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) via video conference.

The meeting was convened as part of ASEAN’s ongoing efforts to enhance engagement between the public and private sectors. It provided a platform for finance ministers, central bank governors, and business leaders to exchange views on regional economic priorities and collaborative initiatives.

Discussions focused on strengthening public–private partnerships, including proposals led by ASEAN BAC to advance sustainable financing and enhance regional payments connectivity. Participants also explored measures to address the impacts of evolving economic and geopolitical developments, with emphasis on maintaining regional resilience and stability.

The engagement highlighted the importance of continued dialogue between policymakers and the business community in supporting ASEAN’s economic integration agenda. Further collaboration is expected to advance practical initiatives and reinforce ASEAN’s efforts towards sustainable and inclusive growth.
