The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore hosted an educational visit by students from Metro School Makassar in a constructive and engaging setting. The visit aimed to provide students with direct insights into Indonesia’s diplomatic roles and responsibilities, as well as its engagement in international relations.

The visit formed part of an educational outreach initiative to enhance students’ understanding of global affairs and diplomacy. Through presentations and interactive discussions, students were introduced to the functions of diplomatic missions, including representation, negotiation, and the protection of national interests abroad.

Participants were also exposed to the dynamics of Indonesia’s foreign relations and the importance of diplomacy in strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Emphasis was placed on fostering awareness of national identity, alongside the application of core values such as Pancasila in a global context.
The session highlighted the importance of nurturing a sense of nationalism and integrity among young Indonesians, particularly those engaging with international environments. Students were encouraged to develop a broader global perspective while maintaining a strong connection to national values.
The Embassy expressed hope that the visit would inspire students to further expand their international outlook and contribute meaningfully as future leaders. Continued engagement with educational institutions is expected to support the development of globally minded individuals who uphold Indonesia’s values and identity.
