The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore and Golden Village Pictures hosted the gala premiere of Thai film “Gohan” to strengthen cultural ties and showcase Thai soft power.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, together with Golden Village Pictures, hosted the gala premiere of the Thai film Gohan at GV Suntec City on 8 May 2026.

The event was attended by more than 250 guests, including friends of Thailand, members of the diplomatic community, and film enthusiasts.

Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, Chonlatee Chanrachakul, said the film reflects the strong cultural ties between Thailand and Singapore through cultural diplomacy and creative collaboration.

Ms Chonlatee highlighted that “Gohan” is more than a story about a loyal companion, describing it as a universal story of love and connection that crosses borders from Thailand to Myanmar and Japan.

The gala premiere also highlighted Thailand’s efforts to promote Thai soft power and bring quality Thai creative content to international audiences.

The film was produced by GDH and will officially begin screening across Golden Village cinemas in Singapore from 21 May 2026.

Organisers thanked guests and partners for supporting the event and helping strengthen cultural exchanges between Thailand and Singapore through cinema and storytelling.
