The fourth edition of the Saudi International Marine Exhibition (SIMEC 2025) kicked off in Riyadh, highlighting advancements in aquaculture, fisheries, and the seafood industry.

The highly anticipated fourth edition of the Saudi International Marine Exhibition (SIMEC 2025) opened its doors on 3-5 February 2025 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, attracting more than 4,000 industry professionals, investors, and business leaders from 21 countries. Held under the patronage of the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadli, the exhibition was officially inaugurated by Vice Minister Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti, with senior government officials in attendance.

SIMEC 2025 showcases the latest innovations in aquaculture, fisheries, and the seafood industry, positioning Saudi Arabia as a key player in the global maritime sector. Vice Minister Al-Mushaiti toured the various exhibition pavilions, where over 120 local and international companies presented cutting-edge technologies, sustainable practices, and new solutions to modernise the industry.

Assistant Undersecretary for Fisheries and Livestock Wealth, Dr. Ali Al-Shaikhi, highlighted the signing of multiple agreements between government agencies and private sector companies, with an expected investment total exceeding SAR1 billion. Dr. Al-Shaikhi stressed that SIMEC 2025 serves as a vital platform for sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in the global fisheries market.

The exhibition also features a series of technical workshops, hosted by international experts, businesses, and universities. These sessions cover critical topics such as fisheries sustainability, aquaculture development, seafood industry advancements, and the localisation of modern technologies. Furthermore, the event aims to increase awareness about sustainable fishing practices and boost fish product consumption across the region.

SIMEC 2025 has firmly established itself as an essential gathering for stakeholders in the marine and fisheries industries, providing immense opportunities for networking and fostering future collaborations.
