Australia reaffirmed its commitment to regional clean energy cooperation and sustainable investment during Ecosperity Week 2026 in Singapore, highlighting stronger partnerships across Southeast Asia.

The Australian High Commission in Singapore concluded its participation in Ecosperity Week 2026 by highlighting Australia’s strong commitment to addressing global climate and energy challenges together with Singapore and regional partners.

During the event, Mr Matt Kean shared lessons from Australia’s energy transition experience and highlighted the important role renewable energy can play in improving energy security across Australia and Southeast Asia.

The Australian High Commission also collaborated with the Australian Sustainable Finance Institute, ClimateWorks Centre, and Investor Group on Climate Change to bring a delegation of Australian investors to Singapore.

The delegation explored opportunities to strengthen cooperation between government finance and private capital in accelerating the clean energy transition and expanding sustainable investment across Southeast Asia.

The week concluded with the announcement of the latest recipients of the Asia Climate Solutions Design Grant, alongside a new Indo-Pacific NGO Blended Finance Accelerator grant round launched with partners from Convergence Blended Finance.

The occasion also marked the first official event hosted at the High Commission by Her Excellency Robyn Mudie since assuming her diplomatic role.

Officials thanked all participants, partners, and delegates who joined Ecosperity Week 2026 and expressed optimism for continued collaboration at next year’s event.
