
Former Philippine President and current 2nd District Representative of Pampanga, Hon. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, visited the Philippine Embassy in Singapore, where she praised the transformation of its new Chancery and engaged with Embassy personnel and the Filipino community.
Former Philippine President and current 2nd District Representative of Pampanga, Hon. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, visited the Philippine Embassy in Singapore on 2 July at its new premises located at 20 Nassim Road. She was warmly welcomed by Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo G. Macaraig, together with Embassy personnel, who hosted a guided tour of the Embassy’s newly established Chancery.

During the visit, Former President Arroyo reflected on her previous visits to the Embassy’s former building and expressed her admiration for the remarkable transformation of the new premises. She commended the modern facilities and enhanced environment, which underscore the Embassy’s continued commitment to providing quality services for Filipinos in Singapore.

As part of the tour, Former President Arroyo visited the Embassy’s new Consular and Labour Services area, where she observed the upgraded facilities designed to better serve the needs of the Filipino community. She also toured the newly established Sentro Rizal Singapore, which promotes Philippine culture, heritage and the arts through educational and cultural programmes.
The visit also provided an opportunity for Former President Arroyo to meet and interact with kababayans in Singapore. Her engagement with members of the Filipino community reflected the enduring ties between the Philippines and its overseas nationals, while highlighting the Embassy’s role as a centre for public service, cultural promotion and community engagement.
