The partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening digital inclusion and equipping migrant workers with practical skills to adapt to an increasingly technology-driven workplace. The MOU was announced as part of the NTUC May Day Migrant Workers’ Celebrations, which recognise the contributions of migrant workers to Singapore’s economy and promote initiatives that support their well-being and professional development.

Under the agreement, IITAAS will conduct twice-monthly training sessions at the MWC Recreation Club in Soon Lee beginning in August 2026. The programme will cover foundational digital literacy, practical workplace applications and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence. The training is designed to be accessible and immediately applicable to participants’ daily work and everyday lives.

IITAAS, which brings together graduates of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) working across engineering, technology, finance and entrepreneurship in Singapore, said the initiative reflects its commitment to ensuring that technological advancement benefits all communities. Association President Dhruv Jain said, “Technology must empower, not exclude,” underscoring the organisation’s vision of promoting inclusive access to digital skills.
