Eastern Fleet visit features naval exchanges, community outreach and professional engagements in Singapore.
The Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet conducted a series of professional and community engagements during its port visit to Singapore, reinforcing the longstanding defence relationship and people-to-people ties between India and Singapore. The visit featured the participation of the naval ships INS Udaygiri, INS Shakti and INS Kavaratti.

The visit included a range of activities aimed at promoting naval cooperation, professional exchanges and community engagement. These interactions formed part of the Eastern Fleet’s programme in Singapore and reflected the close and growing maritime partnership between the two countries.

Among the key engagements were cross-deck visits between personnel of the Indian Navy and the RSS Supreme of the Republic of Singapore Navy, providing opportunities for professional exchange and greater mutual understanding. Indian Navy personnel also visited the Singapore Navy Museum to learn more about the Republic of Singapore Navy’s history and development.
The Eastern Fleet further strengthened community ties by welcoming school children onboard its ships, offering them an opportunity to learn about naval operations and maritime service. In addition, personnel hosted members of Singapore’s Indian community and the diplomatic corps aboard INS Udaygiri, fostering closer engagement and strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two countries.
