The newly introduced Klang Valley Edition is designed to combine the excitement of Kuala Lumpur’s urban attractions with authentic farm-to-table durian experiences in nearby orchards. Timed to coincide with the peak mid-year durian season, the curated itineraries allow visitors to enjoy shopping, sightseeing and premium culinary experiences before venturing to orchards to savour freshly harvested Musang King durians. According to Tourism Malaysia Director General Mr. Mohd Amirul Rizal Abdul Rahim, the packages showcase how travellers can experience both Malaysia’s cosmopolitan lifestyle and its renowned agricultural heritage within a single journey, while supporting the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign.

Beyond tourism promotion, Malaysia Fest 2026 also serves as an important platform for expanding Malaysia’s commercial presence in Singapore. Speaking during the opening ceremony, Datuk Chan Foong Hin said the festival provides valuable opportunities for Malaysian entrepreneurs to introduce their agro-food products to Singaporean importers and buyers through exhibitions and business matching sessions. He noted that these initiatives are expected to enhance the export value and international competitiveness of Malaysian agro-food products while strengthening bilateral business ties between the two countries.

Tourism Malaysia’s Travel Pavilion hosts 13 co-exhibitors, including hotels, tourism operators, car rental providers and the Perak State Tourism Board, offering exclusive holiday promotions, accommodation deals and curated travel experiences. Malaysia Fest 2026 also supports the promotion of the upcoming Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism (MAHA) 2026 exhibition, scheduled to take place from 28 August to 6 September at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in Selangor. The festival builds on Malaysia’s growing appeal among Singaporean travellers, following the arrival of 21.1 million Singaporean visitors in 2025, an increase of 11.8 per cent compared with the previous year. The continued growth reflects Singapore’s strategic importance as one of Malaysia’s largest tourism markets and reinforces momentum towards the successful delivery of Visit Malaysia 2026.
