The agreement introduced joint research initiatives and academic exchanges between the two universities.
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) and the National University of Singapore (NUS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 3 August 2026 to establish a long term partnership in academic and research cooperation. The institutions also launched the first Joint Call for Research Proposals under the MoU.
The collaboration would promote joint research as well as faculty and student exchanges. IIT Delhi stated that the first action under the MoU was the signing of an agreement to support joint research projects, followed by the launch of the inaugural Joint Call for Research Proposals at NUS.
The partnership also aimed to promote researcher and student mobility, strengthen knowledge exchange and innovation, and contribute to further strengthening academic cooperation between India and Singapore.
