The Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, H.E. Waraphanee Damrongmanee, welcomed a delegation of faculty members from the National University of Singapore (NUS), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Titima Suthiwan, Advisor at the Centre for Language Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The meeting explored opportunities to further promote Thai education and culture in Singapore.

Discussions centred on strengthening initiatives that encourage greater awareness and appreciation of Thai identity, language and cultural heritage. Particular attention was given to Thai youth and students in Singapore, as well as Singaporean and international students who have an interest in Thailand and its rich cultural traditions.

H.E. Ambassador Waraphanee underscored the importance of elevating and supporting projects related to Thai education and culture in Singapore. She highlighted the role of educational and cultural initiatives in preserving Thai identity while creating opportunities for younger generations and international communities to engage more closely with Thailand’s language and heritage.

The Ambassador also expressed her support for projects that can effectively promote Thai identity among both the Thai community and foreigners in Singapore. Such initiatives can serve as meaningful platforms for cultural exchange, helping to deepen understanding of Thailand while strengthening connections between Thai and international communities.

The Royal Thai Embassy reaffirmed its readiness to support projects and activities that contribute to the promotion of Thai education, culture and heritage in Singapore. Through closer cooperation with academic institutions such as NUS, Thailand seeks to broaden appreciation of its cultural identity and foster stronger educational and people-to-people connections in Singapore.
