Czech MedTech delegates explored Singapore healthcare partnerships and opportunities during their visit.
A Czech MedTech delegation visited Singapore this week to learn more about the country’s healthcare ecosystem and explore potential partnerships between Czech and Singaporean companies and research institutions. The programme included meetings with Singapore government agencies and universities, as well as participation by Czech companies at Medical Fair Asia.
Adam Grundel from the Czech Ministry of Health met counterparts from Singapore’s Ministry of Health and Synapxe, Singapore’s HealthTech Agency. The discussions focused on understanding Singapore’s healthcare environment and identifying opportunities for cooperation between stakeholders from the two countries.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Singapore said the visit provided an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the Singaporean healthcare ecosystem. It also described the technology environment encountered during the programme, stating: “In Singapore, you often cannot avoid the feeling that the future is already here.”

Representatives from VSB, Technical University of Ostrava also used their visit to discuss potential cooperation with the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Kamila Janovská and Lukas Peter represented the Czech university during the engagements.
The delegation also included Czech companies participating in Medical Fair Asia. MZ Liberec exhibited at the event, while Kardi AI presented its solution for cardiac arrhythmia detection and monitoring. The embassy said MZ Liberec was already an established brand in the region and described Kardi AI as being at the initial stage of its activities in Singapore.

The programme also featured business pitches by Marie Součková of Your Solution and Miroslav Behan of FutuGen. The Czech embassy said both participants presented their projects during the visit.
The programme was prepared by the Czech Embassy in Singapore team, including Ladislav Graner and Šárka Janáková, together with Ivan Nikl from CzechTrade. The embassy also thanked May Ng and her team at Asia Regulatory and Quality Consultancy for their support and partnership.

The visit combined institutional meetings, academic exchanges and business activities related to medical technology. It provided participating Czech organisations with opportunities to engage with Singaporean healthcare authorities, research institutions and business stakeholders.
