Business China’s 17th FutureChina Global Forum examines resilience, trust, technology and cooperation.
Business China’s FutureChina Global Forum (FCGF) will take place on 24 and 25 September 2026 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore, bringing leaders and senior representatives from business, government, technology and academia together to discuss resilience, trust and cooperation amid geopolitical, economic and technological change. The 17th edition will be held under the theme “Strengthening Resilience, Rebuilding Trust”.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry (Trade), Mr. Gan Kim Yong, will be Guest of Honour at the main Forum on 25 September. Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister for Defence, Mr. Chan Chun Sing, will participate in a fireside chat on the same day, while Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Digital Development and Information and Ministry of Health, Mr. Tan Kiat How, will be Guest of Honour on 24 September.
The Forum will also feature Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs, Ms. Sim Ann; Senior Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Desmond Tan; and Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National Development, Mr. Alvin Tan. The three ministers will participate in invitation-only segments.
Discussions will examine how countries and businesses can respond to geopolitical and economic uncertainty, rapid technological change and differing approaches to growth and governance. The Forum will also consider developments as China enters its 15th Five-Year Plan period, including priorities such as innovation, industrial upgrading and domestic demand, and their implications for China, ASEAN and the wider region.
For the first time, FCGF will feature a dedicated AI Track, focusing on the transition from rapid artificial intelligence development to responsible and trusted adoption at scale. Sessions will consider perspectives from China, Singapore and the region on developing and deploying AI to support innovation, resilience and new growth opportunities.
Speakers include Dr. Gunjan Bhardwaj of Partex AI, Ms. Priscilla Chong of Amazon Web Services, Professor Fan Gang of China Development Institute, Mr. Ho Kwon Ping of Banyan Group, Mr. Brent Irvin of Tencent, Mr. Marty Natalegawa, former Indonesian Foreign Minister, Professor Simon See of NVIDIA AI Technology Center and Ms. Jane Sun of Trip.com Group, among others.
Mr. Lee Yi Shyan, Chairman of Business China, said, “The global economy is no longer operating from a single playbook.” He added that FCGF seeks to foster dialogue on navigating uncertainty, deepening understanding and identifying opportunities for cooperation.
The AI Track will run from 1.00pm to 6.00pm on 24 September, followed by the main Forum from 9.00am to 6.00pm on 25 September.
