THE Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary, Ivan John Uy, engaged in a productive meeting with Singapore’s Minister for Communications and Information, Ms. Josephine Teo, on October 16, 2023. The meeting, held on the eve of the Singapore International Cyber Week, became a pivotal platform for high-level discussions on crucial matters pertaining to communications, information technology, and cybersecurity.
The deliberations culminated in a mutual commitment to fortify collaborative efforts in cybersecurity and intensify cooperation in the digital domain. This marks a significant step forward in fostering innovation, technology transfer, and cyber resilience between the Philippines and Singapore, as well as within the broader ASEAN region.
Accompanying Secretary Uy were esteemed delegates including H.E. Medardo G. Macaraig, the Philippine Ambassador to Singapore, Undersecretary Alexander Ramos, Executive Director of the DICT’s Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center, and Assistant Secretary Alan L.
